Proper utilization of the services of paralegals contributes to the delivery of cost-effective, high-quality legal services. Paralegals and the legal profession should be assured that measures exist for identifying paralegals and their role in assisting attorneys in the delivery of legal services. These guidelines may help clarify the instances in which paralegals can be a useful resource and the rules that apply to their work products. The Association's House of Delegates voted to adopt these guidelines on February 20, 2015.
